Erfurt Science Slam

It has become a permanent fixture in Erfurt's event calendar: the Erfurt Science Slam.

What is it about? In this scientific presentation competition, the slammers each have ten minutes to present their research projects in an entertaining way that everyone can understand. All presentation aids are permitted. The aim is to wow the audience and win the Erfurt Science Slam Trophy!

8th Erfurt Science Slam

Take the opportunity

to publicise your research project and topic
to engage with your topic from an unusual perspective
to get to know new aspects and methods of presentation in our workshop specially designed for the slam (head: Dr Benjamin Sippel)
to make lots of new, interesting contacts and to network further
to be part of a dynamic and creative team for the duration of the preparation and the slam

WHEN? 29 October 2025 from 7 pm
WHERE? in the theatre "die SCHOTTE" (Schottenstraße 7, 99084 Erfurt)
HOW? All academics at the University of Erfurt are invited to participate as slammers:
advanced MA students, doctoral students, postdocs and professors
Time per presentation: 10 minutes
Team or individual presentation
All presentation aids are permitted
Creativity and humour are encouraged

Each slammer will receive a certificate and the chance to win the 8th Erfurt Science Slam trophy.
We are looking forward to a great evening full of science, creativity and entertainment!
